This case is both a research case and an issue-based case on the subject of leading change and implementing Lean Six Sigma (L6σ). As a research case, it describes how the Commander, senior leaders, and frontline employees used L6σ to save Letterkenny Army Depot from closure. The research segment of the case also pairs the depot Commander’s approach to leading change with published frameworks for leading change in business organizations.
