During the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies' second Alumni Entrepreneur Reunion about two dozen participants headed for a small-group discussion with Irv Grousbeck, consulting professor, co-director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
The topic was personnel, and Grousbeck shared a few pieces of advice before opening up the discussion for participants' to exchange questions and ideas. What emerged was a sort of support group for managers in which Grousbeck and the other participants helped each other navigate the always delicate matters of hiring, firing, and promoting.
