Homogeneous Besov Spaces associated with the spherical mean operator

We define and study homogeneous Besov spaces associated with the spherical mean operator. We establish some results of completeness, continuous embeddings and density of subspaces. Next, we define a discrete equivalent norm on this space and we give other properties.

In this lecture Sheila Widnall served on the board investigating Columbia’s destruction in February, 2003, and she can describe the technical failures that led, moment by moment, to the ghastly trail of debris across the western United States. Well-intentioned people, Widnall states, became desensitized to deviations from the norm. NASA managers treated repeated anomalies -- such as foam smashing into shuttle tiles on take off -- as “maintenance turnaround events.”

On Strongly Fβp-irresolute Mappings

In this paper, we introduce a new class of mappings called strongly Fpp-irresolute mappings between fuzzy topological spaces. We obtain several characterizations of this class and study its properties and investigate the relationship with the known mappings.

Some intriguing properties of Tukey’s half-space depth

For multivariate data, Tukey’s half-space depth is one of the most popular depth functions available in the literature. It is conceptually simple and satisfies several desirable properties of depth functions. The Tukey median, the multivariate median associated with the half-space depth, is also a well-known measure of center for multivariate data with several interesting properties. In this article, we derive and investigate some interesting properties of half-space depth and its associated multivariate median.

Invariant locally φ-symmetric contact structures on Lie groups

We are interested in the question whether every strongly locally
$\varphi$-symmetric contact metric space is a
$(\kappa,\mu)$-space. In this paper, we show that the answer is
positive for left-invariant contact metric structures on Lie
groups.

Holomorphic functions on locally closed convex sets and projective descriptions

Let $Q$ be a bounded, convex and locally closed subset
of \ $\C^N$, let $H(Q)$ be the space of all functions
which are holomorphic on an open neighborhood of $Q$.
We endow $H(Q)$ with its projective topology.
We show that the topology of the weighted inductive limit
of Fr\'echet spaces of entire functions which is obtained
as the Laplace transform of the strong dual to $H(Q)$ can be
described be means of canonical weighted seminorms
if and only if the intersection of $Q$
with each supporting hyperplane to the closure of $Q$
is compact.

ON OPERATOR IDEALS DEFINED BY A REFLEXIVE ORLICZ SEQUENCE SPACE

Classical theory of tensornorms and operator ideals studies mainlythose defined by means of sequence spaces ..p. Considering Orlicz sequence spaces as natural generalization of ..p spaces, in a previous paper [12] an Orlicz sequence space was used to define a tensornorm, and characterize minimal and maximal operator ideals associated, by using local techniques. Now, in this paper we give a new characterization of the maximal operator ideal to continue our analysis of some coincidences among such operator ideals. Finally we prove some new metric properties of tensornorm mentioned above
